Mary Huckens, daughter of John and Hope (Chipman) Huckins on 2 Oct 1690 in Sandwich, Massachusetts. She was born on 3 Oct 1673 in Sandwich, Massachusetts. She died at Chilmark on 8 Nov 1743, aged seventy years. She was a woman of strong intellect and deep religious character and left a manuscript account of her experiences for the benefit of her children.

Sir Ralph Basset, 2nd Lord Basset of Drayton succeeded to the title of 2nd Lord Basset of Drayton [E., 1295] on 31 December 1299. He was invested as a Knight on 22 May 1306. He held the office of Constable of Dover Castle between March 1326 and September 13261 He held the office of Warden of the Cinque Ports between March 1326 and September 1326. He distinguished himself with his proud defiance of the King of France. He held the office of Seneschal of Gascony. He held the office of Steward of the Duchy of Aquitaine. He was invested as a Knight Banneret in 1341

Sir Ralph Basset, 3rd Lord Basset of Drayton was born circa 1335. He married, firstly ,Joan Beauchamp abt May 1338 and secondly abt Joan de Bretagne. He died on 10 May 1390, without issue. His will (dated 16 January 1389/90) was probated on 13 January 1390/91 at Sleaford,Lincolnshire. He was buried at Lichfield Cathedral.
Sir Ralph Basset, 3rd Lord Basset of Drayton succeeded to the title of 3rd Lord Basset of Drayton [E., 1295] on 25 February 1342/43. He fought in the Battle of Bordeaux on 8 January 1355/56, in the army of the Black Prince. He distinguished himself in the various wars with France. He was invested as a Knight, Order of the Garter (K.G.) in 1368 On 30 October 1386 he was a deponent in the Scrope and Grosvenor controversy.
On his death, the Barony Basset of Drayton became dormant, or possibly fell into abeyance between the heirs of his two great-aunts.

Ralph Basset was born circa 1377.1 He was the son of Ralph Basset and Alianore (?).1 He died on 9 January 1399/0, without issue.1
Ralph Basset succeeded to the title of 5th Lord Basset, of Weldon [E., 1299] on 6 June 1385, de jure.1
On his death, any Barony created by the writ of 1299 fell into abeyance between his two great-aunts, Joan and Alianore.2

Sir Alan, the third son, possessed Compton in Oxfordshire, by the gift, as some say, of his uncle, Walter de Dunstanville, or, according to Dugdale, of his elder brother Gilbert (fn. 5) , to whom it had been given by the said Walter. This Sir Alan, who died 17 Henry III., had a son and heir, Gilbert, who was ancestor of the Bassets of Wycombe, Bucks, (a baronial family,) whose sole heiress married Roger de Bigod, Earl of Norfolk.
